Professional Event Photography Across Ottawa and the National Capital Region

For more than a decade, I've photographed events of every size across Ottawa, Gatineau, and beyond. From conferences, awards galas, and corporate retreats to university alumni gatherings, community celebrations, and milestone events, I've had the opportunity to document hundreds of meaningful interactions between people, organizations, and communities.

Every event has its own pace, purpose, and priorities. Some revolve around keynote speakers and formal presentations, while others focus on networking, entertainment, team building, or families celebrating important achievements and anniversaries.

My experience allows me to quickly adapt to changing environments, challenging lighting conditions, and fast-moving schedules while remaining attentive to the moments that matter most. Whether you're hosting a conference, recognition ceremony, product launch, cultural gathering, fundraising event, or private celebration, my goal is to create a collection of images that reflects the energy, atmosphere, and story of the occasion long after the event has ended.

Capturing the Atmosphere and Energy of Every Event

The people who help shape the atmosphere of an event come from many backgrounds and roles, including keynote speakers, panelists, cultural leaders, performers, volunteers, and organizers. Each contributes to the experience in a unique way, helping set the tone, deliver important messages, and engage attendees throughout the day.

My Guiding Approach as an Event Photographer

The images above represent a wide range of events, venues, and audiences. They include keynote presentations, live entertainment, networking moments, award presentations, community celebrations, and countless interactions that help tell the story of an event.

Successful event photography requires more than simply reacting to what is happening. It involves anticipating moments before they unfold, understanding how people engage with one another, and positioning yourself where meaningful interactions are most likely to occur. My goal is to remain attentive, observant, and prepared so important moments are documented naturally as they happen.

Throughout an event, I focus on creating a balanced collection of images that includes the big moments people expect as well as the smaller moments that often go unnoticed. From keynote presentations and audience engagement to networking conversations, venue details, and wide views that capture the scale of an event, I work to create a complete visual story of the experience.

The result is a professional visual record that helps you celebrate successes, share your story, and communicate the value of your event long after the final guest has gone home.

Event Photography FAQ

How much do you charge for event photography?

Event photography coverage starts at $599. Pricing depends on the duration of coverage, event size, venue requirements, and deliverables required. Whether you are planning a networking reception, conference, gala, fundraiser, university event, or multi-day production, I can provide a customized quote tailored to your specific needs.

What’s included in your event photography coverage?

I provide comprehensive coverage of your event from start to finish, including keynote presentations, guest speakers, panel discussions, audience engagement, attendee interactions, networking moments, venue details, event branding, sponsor activations, and candid photographs throughout the day. I also capture wide-angle room shots, stage presentations, guests asking questions, award presentations, and the overall atmosphere of the event.

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes. Travel throughout Ottawa and Gatineau is included, and I am available for assignments across Canada. I have photographed events and projects in cities including Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, and regularly work on location for clients requiring coverage beyond the National Capital Region. You can view my full service area on the Service Area page.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Most galleries are delivered within 5-10 days. When images are needed for media, marketing, publication, or social media purposes, expedited delivery is often available. Weddings and events typically include a sneak peek gallery within 48 hours.

How many photos will I receive?

The number of images delivered depends on the type and length of your session. Rather than working toward a specific photo count, I focus on capturing the moments that matter and delivering a carefully curated gallery of professionally edited images. My goal is for you to receive the strongest photographs from your session, not just the largest number of files.

How do I receive my photos?

You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view, share, and download your images in high resolution. Galleries are optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, making it easy to access your photographs whether you are sharing them with family, friends, colleagues, or your marketing team.

Do you edit all the photos?

Yes. Every image delivered in your final gallery is carefully reviewed and professionally edited for color, exposure, tone, and clarity. My goal is to ensure your photographs look polished, consistent, and true to the moment.

Do you do videos as well?

Yes — however, my primary focus is photography. I have all the equipment needed for videography, so I can provide short video clips for certain projects when requested. For full video production, I can handle videography while my business partner focuses on the photography. You can see the full list of equipment I use on my My Gear page.
